that late new year's entry!

My New Year's post took ages because I couldn't decide which pictures to share! That, and I have been busy catching up with family and friends to wish them Happy New Year's and also making that 'something' I've been going on about in my last post (which I will share today!). So here's my New Year celebration for 2011!:

Samitha was driving down to Sydney for a day-trip to see the fireworks, and so I thought I'd tag along!

We took route 3 :) Also, I think Marulan sounds like a mystical place...like Narnia! 

Lunch on the road. Who would've guessed! Haha...

We had some time to kill before New Years and so Samitha took me to Balmoral Bay! (I found out later that we weren't suppose to be taking pictures at the beach. Oopsies...)

We spent most of our time shading from the sun at a nook amongst the rocks. We were wondering why the place smelled like piss until Samitha spotted a very questionable puddle of wetness under his feet. Hm...

We got a little hungry, so we bought strawberry yoghurt drinks and fries to enjoy the view with!

Samitha parked the car and we took a train to Darling Harbour. The yachts were all out to watch the works!!

We were busy trying to make our way to the harbour with all the other people when I looked up (because I don't like being in crowds and felt kinda woozy with all the people around me). 

We got lucky and were able to gather at an apartment of a friend's of a friend's of a friend (no kidding!) near the harbour. And so we made new friends while waiting for the fireworks! We had a Reese party and did this:

Cheezels skewered onto a sparkle, which was later on decidedly called 'chebabs'. 

And remember that something I was going to make for you? (the girls who are on my Twitter and Facebook would've probably seen this video). Its a video of my first New Year's in Australia! :D

Samitha and I drove back right after the works (about 3 am?). I had wanted to stay awake for the whole ride back home to Canberra but nodded off -- twice! I am becoming such a grandma. I was however awake in time to see (dry) Lake George at dawn.

I guess having two videos in this entry makes it a double for a {vid/nesday}! Oh, I have just gotten a parcel today that I am yet to go collect. Cross fingers its what I've been waiting for since before Christmas!!
