Believe it or not, watching black latex go from shiny to matte is REALLY exciting. That is, when it happens to be on the surface of our new dance-friendly floor, in the Martha Lou Henley Rehearsal Hall of the O'Brian Centre for Vancouver Opera.
When I took this photo today, the workers were on their lunch break. By the end of the day, the entire floor will be done! It means, though, that we have to take the long way around to get to the production offices, the props shop and the call centre. Small price to pay for progress! Its only a matter of weeks before singers and dancers, and then the VO Orchestra, will be rehearsing West Side Story on this floor!
