A Visit to an Old House

I often go to Long Island to visit old friends

and revisit the past.
Something very comfortable, especially this season,
 in things known and traditional.

Things reflected in a silvered mirror....

silhouetted in a small window.....

and decorating a hutch.
Season's Greetings....

Random Curiosities/Uptown

A horseman in Central Park.

A dress with faces on it. Bergdorf window.

A mosaic with palm trees and skyscrapers.
East 60's.

A poster commemorating the Society of Illustrators Costume Ball 1922.
I'm sure Dr.Seuss had studied this artist.
Enlarge to see all the people who attended the ball.

People should have stashed their Christmas decorations by now.
Artificial poinsettias in June are not cheerful.
