Hollywood meets Real Space Travel

Xcor/Rocket Racing League Rocket Racer landing...Image via Wikipedia I love this kind of story. A Hollywood costumer designer catches the eye of XCOR Aerospace, a business working on making suborbital space travel a reality. Global Effects Inc. has designed costumes for movies like Space Cowboys and it seems the suit will work in a real life situation. This is what I have mentioned before about science fiction having a vision, in this case with the suits the space travelers will wear, and this vision being applied in real life applications. At least Hollywood still has some money to get consultants that help design costumes and situations that could eventually be applied in space travel. I still wish that more energy could be spent on the sciences and really move forward in space exploration. That is why I love Science Fiction so much, because it gives me a hope for a more positive future.
Interestingly, I found the story on Bloomberg and I wish more stories like this one would be more prominent in the news instead.
