Like, literally. When I first moved onto my floor at the Australian National University hall of residence, I had noticed a little plant propped into a water bottle that was neatly cut in half. I felt sorry for the plant that was living on merely water and no soil. So I got a pot and some soil and practically stole the plant. It was mine now, MINE!
Mine it was -- until I killed it. And now karma has striked back.
I was cleaning my room and had left the dead plant on the shelf. I must have made a wrong manoeuvre and before I knew it, I had a pot-full of soil all over the wires on my desk! It took me ages to clean up, recollect the soil and then to place them into the pot again. The pot now still sits in a corner of my room. Waiting for its next haunt.
